Today, Thursday, July 11, and tomorrow, the Regional Plenary of Young Parliamentarians Cusco 2019 is being held. According to the bases: “The” Young Parliament “is a citizenship training program that offers young people of 18 to 25 years the opportunity to know, experience and value the work that is done in Parliament, within a space of participation and promotion of democratic values. It is promoted by the First Vice-Presidency of the Congress of the Republic and is executed through the Office of Participation, Projection and Liaison with the Citizen and has the auspices of the Hanns Seidel Stiftung Foundation. The program has a national scope, including all the departments of Peru, Lima Provinces and the Constitutional Province of Callao. “
On this occasion, the Regional Plenary of Cusco is being held in the Auditorium of the National University San Antonio Abad of Cusco, with the intention of bringing to the National Plenary viable projects that can be debated in the Congress of the Republic.
The topics that are being developed are those of: Constitution, Andean and Amazonian Peoples, Labor and Consumer Defense. The event has the participation of young people who were chosen through evaluations and at this moment it is in development.
The plenary sessions take place today, Thursday 11 from 8:00 a.m., at 5:00 p.m., and tomorrow, Friday 12 from 8:00 a.m., at 1:00 p.m .; so we will be pending and publish the agreements that are reached and the initiatives that will be taken to the national plenary.
