The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (SENAMHI in spanish), has issued the Notice N ° 098 (click here) of Level 4 [1], on July 12 ticked: Nevada in the Sierra; whereby they make the following known to citizens:

The SENAMHI informs that from Tuesday 16 to Friday, July 19, there will be solid precipitations (snow, hail and sleet) and moderate to high intensity liquids accompanied by electric shocks and wind gusts in the mountains. Snowfall will occur in areas above 3800 m.s. in the southern highlands and over 4000 m.s. in the central sierra. Maximum snow accumulations of more than 20 cm are expected. high between the night of Wednesday, July 17 at dawn on Thursday, July 18. In locations above 3200 m.s. the occurrence of rain and hail is expected. In addition, there will be an increase in wind mainly in the southern highlands, with speeds close to 40 km / h in locations above 3500 m.s. Likewise, the sensation of cold during the day will intensify.
